Every day, we see them. The “IT” girls of Hollywood who are thin. They appear on our gossip sites, in magazines and television. We admire them because they are rich. Young girls and women want to be them.
Guess what? They might be rich but they are starving. They constantly have to worry about being photographed while they aren’t looking good. People tear them apart when they don’t look like they do in movies or in photos. When in reality, these famous people that we admire so much for their beauty are photoshopped in photos.
Take for instance, this post on Mama Vision, a blog that I frequent. People are dying to be thin! It’s sad that we can’t accept people for who they are. Mama Vision is a blog about eating disorders that everyone should have a look at.
I admire some celebrities. Do I want to be like them? Yes and no. I would love to have just a fraction of their wealth but I would never want a life like theirs. I would never want my life to be under a microscope.
One of the famous women that I admire most is Salma Hayek. She has curves and isn’t a stick figure. And I am not talking only about her ample busom.

What I am trying to say, is Love yourself for who you are. Don’t base your worth on what others think of you. You don’t have to be famous or thin to be loved.
I recently happened upon a video at YouTube which I think everyone should watch. It’s called A Fat Rant.
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL, NO MATTER WHAT THEY SAY
